Let a property

Do you want your property to be rented out efficiently?

When properties are rented out, it requires both a solid understanding of the legal framework and the ability to select the right tenants. That is why many owners choose to hire a professional letting agency for the task. Perhaps you have invested in a property with several apartments or houses in order to generate income both now and when you sell in the future. If your primary focus is protecting your investment and profit—and monitoring new market opportunities—you can delegate the letting process itself to us.

With profit in mind

Liberty Housing ApS is owned by Pia Rafn Geelmuyden, who personally handles most client-related tasks and collaborates with other experienced real estate agents when necessary.

We rent out quality houses and apartments for clients who want to ensure that the letting process is handled correctly and that tenants take good care of the property. Particularly when a property has been purchased as an investment, it is important that it generates income—and that the units never stand empty. We most often rent out properties in Copenhagen and North Zealand.

With us, you avoid having to:

  • market the rental properties
  • find tenants
  • show the rental units
  • prepare lease agreements
  • ensure that payments are received correctly

At the same time, you gain a professional partner who can advise you on how to maximize the value of your investment. The more rental units you own, the better we can assist you and keep track of the details that you would normally monitor yourself when visiting the property.

Shall we discuss renting out your properties?

We would be happy to visit and review the property or a specific rental unit with you. During this meeting we will discuss your expectations for the collaboration, and if we believe we are a good match, we will provide our honest assessment of the rental level the units can achieve.

If you decide that we can meet your expectations, we prepare a cooperation agreement. The next time you hear from us, we will present potential tenants, after which you can decide who you want to rent the property to. We then handle both the lease agreement and the payments, and you can look forward to receiving the rent as planned.

Questions & Answers

You may own and rent out as many houses as you wish. One potential challenge is the occupancy requirement, which means a property may not remain vacant. If you do not live in the house for at least 180 days per year and are unable to find a tenant, the municipal authorities may assign a tenant.
We typically have many tenants from companies—often expatriates—who come to Denmark to work for larger companies and therefore need rental housing. Among our tenants are also ordinary Danish families, couples, or singles who have chosen to rent for various reasons. All tenants we introduce to landlords have been assessed by us as reliable and stable.
If you rent to a company that provides housing for an employee, we recommend that the tenant themselves sign the lease agreement, represented by the company. Previously, companies received a tax advantage when renting housing for employees, but this is no longer the case. However, it remains beneficial for you as the landlord to know exactly who will be living in your property.

Sometimes a company may wish to rent the property on the condition that several different employees can use the home during the rental period. We generally do not recommend entering into a contract on those terms, as multiple tenants often lead to increased wear and tear. You should also be aware that companies, like individual tenants, can bring a complaint to the Rent Tribunal if they believe there is a dispute regarding the rental conditions.

Shall we talk about letting your property?

Call Pia Rafn Geelmuyden at 70 60 55 16+45 70 60 55 16> or send us an email.

You can expect to hear back from us within one working day. We recommend making an agreement at least three months before you would like your property to be rented out. Sometimes it can happen faster, but the time is often well spent to ensure you find the right tenant.
